And the Campaign for 2nd IPL Title Begins...

While Chennai is still soaking in India's victory in one-day world cup, Chennai Super Kings have started their practice today.

Except for the players from World cup finalists, others are already there in Chennai and have started their practice. For the complete squad list, please refer here.

All the best! Team, We expect to see some good cricket and the team playing to the best of your potential.

@Anonmyous,
Yes.. If news stories are to be believed, Upul Tharanga is replacing George Bailey.. But there is no update about the same in the website.

Also thanks for pointing out the mistake about Balaji in the squad list..

Unfortunately Bala went to KKR in the auctions. Knowing Chennai , I am sure all ex-CSK players will get a great reception from the crowd.

My XI this year:

1. M Vijay
2. Hussey (Srikanth when Hussey is not available. Haydos, we miss u here!)
3. Raina
4. Badri
5. MSD
6. Styris/Du Plessis
7. Morkel
8. Ashwin
9. Jakati/Randiv
10. Yo Mahesh/Joginder/Tyagi
11. One foreign fast bowler or Tyagi if Randiv plays

Seeing how chepauk kept low during WC, it would be tempting to go with the following bowling:

Ashwin
Bolly/Southee
Morkel - 1st change
Randiv
Jakati
Raina, Du Plessis/Styris
