After being defeated by Kings XI Punjab Paul Valthaty, Chennai Super Kings would be looking to get back to their winning ways. Team Principal - Gurunath Meiyappan seems to believe that the answer lies in Doug Bollinger & Hussey. Both are fit and would surely boost Chennai Super Kings squad. Especially if Bollinger is back in Season 3 form, Chennai Super Kings' bowling would get that much needed boost.

If the pitch is anywhere like the last match(that is a slow & turning pitch), it might be prudent to play Randiv, otherwise Tim Southee would be a much better alternative.
Though picking Bollinger (without any match practice after his recovery) would be a risk. His form last year justifies the risk.

Most Dangerous Players
1. Dilshan: Dilshan has not yet reproduced his destructive form this year. Hope that continues.
2. Kohli: He would be blaming his slow innings for the loss in the last match. And would be looking to make amends.
3. Vettori: Chennai's score would largely dependent on how Raina handles the most successful left-arm spinner.
Favorites: Chennai Super Kings has a stronger squad on paper. But as Valthaty showed none of that matters on the field.

we got a got chance of winning any game if we bat second because of the batting power we have now in IPL4.

Well I dont understand why Vignesh is a high risk player is not suited at slot no.7. I had thought thats exactly the reason why he needs to be there. Also he could bowl a bit. Without testing him u never know. That slot is better suited for a all-rounder. He is that missing link. Thats my opinion.
Otherwise my team will be like what u had told except Anirudha ropping in Sudip tyagi. And slot no 7 could be given to Ashwin. Well this means we have 3 fast/medium pace bowlers and 3 spinners + 1 part time bowler (Raina).
It looks even stronger.

Vignesh in for Anirudha: To give Hussey a rest before the rest of the IPL season. He's getting old and even though he came into the world cup late, if Watson is tired Hussey probably will be too. A lot of people seem to rate Vignesh really highly so and I think we need to test our depth early so we know where the team is at for the rest of the season. Vignesh gets a chance to prove himself while Hussey rests.
Badrinath to move up the order if we lose early wickets as usual.
Du Plessis and Bollinger in for Randiv and Styris: I think we need to realise that Randiv is no Murali. Again, Du Plessis in for a chance to show what he can offer and to check our depth.
Bollinger in for Styris because our batting lineup is so settled Styris won't get a bat, and doesnt offer anything like Bollinger does with the ball. Besides, Du Plessis will cover Styris' batting either way.
Morkel and Jakati to hit back from last week.
Southee to control the death overs well once Bollinger has taken wickets which will help Ashwin and Jakati aswell. If Bollinger can continue his previous form, our bowling attack will look unbeatable again.
