Dominant Performance against Delhi Daredevils

This is the Chennai Super Kings we know. The team that thrashes even the top sides - without breaking a sweat. What a great performance by CSK Team. And Hilfenhauz is finally reprising his awesome form - this season. Now he is the most crucial player for the next two matches.

It was surprising to see Yo Mahesh - missing out from the team - after a fine performance in the last game. And Badri & Faf - still being away from match fitness - meant Hussey & Anirudha stayed on the team.

Now Chennai moves on to the next stage - where they have to necessarily win both the away matches - to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

Positives:

  1. Hilfenhauz: Cometh the hour, Cometh the Man: Amazing performance by HIlfenhauz on setting up the win.
  2. Albie Morkel: Did his role as a second seamer wonderfully. He should consider himself lucky for getting such seamer friendly wickets in the last two matches
  3. Hussey & Vijay: Great to see CSK Regular Openers among some runs. They have created a selection problem for Fleming & Dhoni (with Faf & Badri expected to be match-fit for the next match)

Fan's Man of the Match: Hilfenhauz - on the way he has redeemed himself - after those three awful balls in MI match. Now he has to help CSK win the next 2 matches.

Regarding tonight's team composition, I doubt there will be any change from the previous match except for the Jakati/Yo Mahesh selection.

On May 6th match at Wankhede against Mumbai Indians, Morkel (3) and Bravo (4) have both bowled 7 overs total and given away 73 runs with just 2 lucky wickets for Bravo at the end. Sachin was just toying with both their bowling. I wish that doesn't happen tonight in the hands of Gambhir and Kallis....

My team for the next game
Hussey, Faf, Raina, Dhoni, Vijay, Albie, Jakati, Hilfenhaus,Anirudha,Yo Mahesh, Badri. I would drop Bravo. He hasn't done much with the bat or the ball lately. We need to put up runs. So we need all the batting.

Bowling: Hilfie, Albie, Yo Mahesh, Jakati and the fifth should be shared between Raina/Faf/Hussey

Bravo won the match for CSK with last ball six.He is a genuine allrounder and a great fielder he must not be dropped at any cost!
