Last Home Game of the Season?

Today's match would determine whether this would be the last home game for Chennai Super Kings. If they lose the match today, Chennai's hopes of reaching the semi-finals takes a huge hit. But if they win, they keep their hopes alive of reaching the semi-finals and also playing the finals @ Home.

Delhi Daredevils - already qualified for the semi-finals, would look to cement their place in the top 2 places of the league.

CSK XI Probable
1. Faf 2. Anirudha 3. Raina 4. Dhoni 5. Bravo 6. Albie 7. Badri 8. Jadeja 9. Ashwin 10. Yo Mahesh 11. Hilfenhauz

DD Probable XI
1. Warner 2. Sehwag 3. Ojha 4. Jayawardene 5. I Pathan 6. Y Nagar 7. Russell 8. Venugopal Rao 9. Morkel 10. Sunil Nadee 11. Aaron

Seeing both the line-ups, it becomes increasingly clear that it would be match against two strong batting line-ups. Expect to see a 160+ run target in the match.

Most Dangerous Players:
1. Sehwag: He is still 2 short of 4 matches he wins for the team. Hope it is not against us today.
2. Morkel: How CSK openers handle the early overs by Morkel would determine the match.

Favorites: It is a tight game to call. But hoping CSK would win the match.

Good luck CSK! I think Dhoni should to bowl first and chase the total set by strong batting line up. If their batsmen get out cheaper then we can restrict them for lesser total.

You were completely wrong on all accounts :)..

* There were no FAF and Badri - it was Hussey and Vijay who opened (and delivered).
* No 160+ score :)
* Tight game to call - nope it was a one sided affair.

But glad CSK is back to its winning ways (and just kidding, love your blog posts, keep em coming).

It was good to hear Vijay saying that he is just trying to time the ball as opposed to striking it hard during the earlier part of the tournament. Good to see him get runs in this match. I wish he gets a big score against Kolkatta.

Any idea about when Bollinger would return from Australia ?? Anyone ??

I seriously doubt Albie Morkel's ability as the second specialist seamer. I don't remember him when he last had a match-winning performance with the ball alone...

Still I think dropping Bravo/Morkel and bringing in preferably Bollinger or at least Kulasekara in would be a good idea....

Cannot agree more. We have too many that can bat, and too few (Hilfenhaus and Ashwin) that can with matches with their bowling.

Vijay is coming back to form.Raina doing his bit.Big match winning score by Dhoni is due for CSK,I hope it comes against KKR and KXIP.KKR were beaten easily by Mumbai today.Hope CSK wins against KKR and KXIP and book a place in the play offs instead of depending on other results.KKR and DD will most probably fiish 1,2 positions.Mumbai is doing well and RCB are in strong form too.CSK might not go to play offs if the lose one of the two games.

Positives:
1.Hilfenhaus bowling.
2.Vijay,Raina and Huss back to form.

Negatives:
1.Ashwin still not in his best form.Hope he gets wickets in kolkatta which is spin friendly.
2.What is the role of Jadeja in the team?2 million dollar man has not made a great impact to the team.
3.Dhoni needs to fire in the rest of the two league games.Tired of his singles and low strike rate.

when situatiion comes crucial, Dhoni game plan tottaly diffent or dhoni(one man army) himself different , we have seen most of the time and he succeded very well. So CSK fans dont worry ,be happy for the remaining two matches. Shewaq or Gambir are most dangerous players I agree. But infront of Dhoni they have to learn lot. Guys ! Dont you agree. All the best to CHENNAI SUUUUPPPER KINGS!
