Chennai Super Kings showed extreme kindness to 'my name alike' by dropping 2 lollipop catches. And he did pay back in kind. Robin single-handedly demolished all the good work done by Murali & Tyagi in the earlier overs. And took his team to an unbeatable position. Only thing Bangalore Royal Challengers bowlers have to do thereafter - was not to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Positives:
1. Tyagi: Finally, Tyagi showed some justice to his talent. Hope he gets more opportunities in the team.
2. Murali: The purple cap owner showcased the gulf of difference between him and other bowlers in the team.
Negatives:
1. Catches: Any team that misses 3 lollipops does not deserve to win the match.
2. Raina, the captain: How can somebody give the last bowler to a spinner.. that too your second choice spinner.
3. Bailey: After Uthappa's bliztrieg, there was only a slim chance of Chennai Super Kings winning the game. And that slim chance was effectively neutralized by Bailey's innings.
4. Parthiv: I don't understand why the team prefers Parthiv as an opener.
Dhoni, please come back for the match against Mumbai Indians. We miss your captaincy.

Today's culprit: Murali Vijay - kick him out just like Gony was. Dropped a catch and scored only 3. And Morkel is supposed to be a big hitter - when will see his big hits?
Horrible fielding. Ashwin and Tyagi call out dudes.. that is fielding 101. Parthiv Patel missing a simple stumping and then appearing clueless in the time he spent at the crease. Complete waste of a player. I was stunned to hear the commentators say that he had a good day behind the stumps. Maybe for Parthiv just missing one stumping and a couple of take downs is a good day! Cant wait for MSD to get back. I am happy that next year is a fresh draft. Apart from MSD, Badri, Ashwin, Raina, Tyagi and Balaji among the Indians and Haydos, and Murali among the foreign players we should have a thorough look at everyone else in the team. Maybe get Ganapathi Vignesh, Rajagopal Satish, Dinesh Karthik, Rajamani Jesudas into the team. At least they will be as better than the current bunch of losers.
Guys, seriously all TN players dissapointed in the last 2 games! Ashwin is not cut for this level of cricket. uninspired bowling, no promise with the bat in this format and butter fingers today! Vijay, cant bat in t20. period. Badri has a few good knocks but he too is not a T20 player. Balaji picks wickets regularly but every now and then he throws in an absolutely listless performance! vijay and Ashwin should definitely go. Badani and jakati should come in. I still dont understand why ashwin gets picked over jakati. I have no confidence in both Bailey and Kemp. Thissara or Ntini should be brought in. Desperately want Hussey. Even if he is out of form, he is better than the local talent. phew! there is just no imaginative thinking in team selection. it is just pathetic.

Yes. Vijay was the culprit for today's loss. But i believe playing him as an opener would fetch better results.
Morkel has 2 0r 3 matches. If he does not perform, expect Bollinger to come in his place.

Ashwin was wonderful today when he caught robin Uthappa. So was he on the other day when he had to hit just 1 run from 2 balls.He deserves to be the CSK team captain.Keep him for all the seasons to come.

Hey guys, I am a big CSK fan like you all.I am disappointed not because thy lost the match but the way they fought.Chasing 137 did not need a fight, but CSK middle order fell for nothing. 171 needed a fight, but not at any point of the game, they looked like getting it. The reason is lack of domestic talent. Vijay, Badri, Parthiv, Ashwin, Tyagi are the best talents that CSK have. Are they good enough for this level? Your comments please.Even if they were to be replaced, whom will u replace them with? Badani is not good at hitting huge sixes or fours.Arun Karthik is very new.No choice for the captain.Raina has to keep praying for these people to perform. What else can he do.Please comment.

Raina could have prevented 40+ run bloodbath in the final overs by intervening and ensuring that his best bowlers are available for the final overs. These are basics of T20 Captaincy. Sad that he does not have any experience. Sure... He is bound to learn.. But CSK is not the place to learn these simple things..
Another loss..aren't we getting used to it. Im writing this when the score is 110/6, after Vijay, Ashwin, Badrinath had made sure CSK is heading towards another defeat. I do understand there must be more than cricket sense to have these self-destructive players in the team, probably caste sense.
When was the last time Badrinath, Vijay had played a match winning knock? I dont think these guys are fit enoug to play even ODIs and its a tragedy for Chennai to have these guys in their T20 Team. Aswin what is he? an all rounder? Oh boy, joke of the decade,I think Muralitharan can bat better than this guy. Aswin dropped a catch of Uthappa, our waste Vijay dropped another one. And he went on to score 60 odd runs in last 28 balls. Hats off cricketers. If these guys had to be kept in the team for the only reason that the management is keeping them for, then they should buy 2 Hayden, 3 Dhonis, 2 Murali.
I dont know how many fans are there for CSK. But the last two matches would have made them loose a lot.
One suggestion for Fleming: I Guess the only strategy that might work with these guys is to make sure they dont come out in the middle. Like Hayden, Raina, Dhoni should finish off the match.
One request to CSK & IPL Management, is there any chance in the rules to rename a team, any name they like but not have "Chennai" in their
name.

Totally screwed the game..Is hayden the only player we can rely on?Missed catches from fielders?they gotta b kidding me to call themselves professionals?Even palani amarnath would have bowled better in the last overs today?The main problem is CSK lets the score too high for the batsmen to score confidently in their innings.They all want to be big hitters from 1st ball.Parthiv patel wasted humongous balls to get his stupid fifty against punjab..They have to remember that if your team loses cuz of you wasting the balls then there is no chance of you deserving man of the match award.What is wrong with raina?Always losing his cool if something goes wrong and scaring the crap of everyone in the team?he needs to learn dome patience.There needs to be a complete reshuffle of the team lineup.or its goodbye all the way in the next 9 matches..If they dont learn from their mistake they surely will lose
The pre tournament prediction is that CSK will find it tough to make it to the semis unlike the last 2 editions. But with wins against KKR and most importantly DD, we thought CSK will do better than expected...alas it seems not to be!
Yesterday, Raina's bowling changes were realy good up until the first half on RCB innings, esp Tyagi finishing his quota economically within first 10 overs was a great move. But he erred in finishing Morkel's quota sooner and making Ashwin start very late. I think that was a major turning point which highlights CSK' desperate need to have a Bollinger or a Ntini to boost the bowling at the death.
One clear message CSK should have taken from yesterday's loss is that, they shouldn't be playing Vijay and Badri together as it really slows down our middle order batting. Morkel should be made to bat at least at No 4 for he is capable of batting better than what he's doing now. And, not to forget that we are yet to find a proper opening partner for Hayden (Vijay is not a choice again)
We are definitely missing services of Hussey, Freddy and even Oram in batting. In T20, we need all 11 players who can bat and field well which is sadly not the case now with CSK. Can't wait for MSD to return to bolster the batting line up as well for the much needed calm captaincy.
The team is in need of a good opening batsman (maybe CSK can try and get Dinesh Karthik), a match winning fast bowler and solid middle order if it needs to be on par with teams like RCB, DC, MI. Needless to say, catching is an undeniable area where CSK needs to spend a lot more time.
We can only hope that we try and win our remaining matches against KKR, RR, KXIP, DD and may be DC and that our earlier harakiri against KXIP doesn't come to hurt our semifinal chances.
robin's smashing 50 was mainly due to ashwin and vijay dropping the sitters that came to their hands...... and balaji dropping the catch of kallis luckily he did no fire balaji took 1 wicket but giving 24 runs in 18 over is the reason for csk getting defeated by 36 runs..... i prefer nitini or thissara instead of bailey he not fit for a t20 match but these 2 can be economic ..... bailey also destroyed csk's hope against rbc but making Hayden run out ........
now raina's poor captaincy seen....
let's prey that dhoni is back in the team and help csk to reach the semis .......or the captaincy can be given to hayden .......
Where's Vidyut? he did a decent job in the first IPL with couple of fifties. He looks to be in a rare breed of TN hard hitters. useful left arm spinner too. Why the heck was he dropped?
